Summer Wrap Up - Posts & Stories
The Latest Happenings on the Blog [ + free printables you might have missed ]
🌵🌞Hello!
In June I was still deep in summer planning and the seasonal shift happening in my home.
We had fun painting and redecorating my (almost a teen) daughter’s bedroom. She decided to go from girly pink to a vintage space theme. Check out this Instagram Reel to see the transformation.
My writing time expanded this summer while my kids had less schoolwork, summer camps, scheduled activities, and more free time. So when I wasn’t driving kids places, I was working on my writing projects.
June Posts:
In July my focus shifted to homemaking. I wanted to take the time to share with you why I chose the title “Embracing Home”. I also got a bit personal sharing some stories from my life.
In these posts you will find:
the not well-known story of how I met my husband
the one question that has driven my writing and desire to create practical tools for others
bad habits that snuck into my life in my 20s
a model from my childhood I have relearned how to keep up with
my favorite planning hack to unlock the skill of adulting achievement and calm
The summer Arizona heat often sparks indoor declutter projects I have been avoiding during the school year. I would love to show you cool before and after photos of those but for most of them, I just got annoyed and attacked the project.
July Posts:
I recently discovered the joy of creating visual “ask my friend” quizzes on a variety of topics. (These remind me of the teen magazine quizzes that I loved.) I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. If you have ideas for more let me know!
Check out my social media for these posts.

You may have noticed that I slowed down my posting frequency during the summer. I made space for attending the homeschool convention and doing my yearly homeschool planning.
I scheduled posts out so that I could spend more time in deep work; writing and editing my book and a few other projects (like my new podcast🎙️).
Check it out!! 😁 It has been a busy summer!

P.S. - Last week I shared my favorite way to reflect on the season. Don’t miss it! I know it will help you as we move into another busy season.😉
