That line between pushing yourself and honoring your limits? It’s different for everyone. Some of us are wired to go all-in, to hustle, to stretch ourselves to the edge. And sometimes that’s okay, it can even be good.
But there’s a point where pushing turns into ignoring… and ignoring turns into burnout.
The key is learning to listen to your body, to pause long enough to notice when you’re reaching that edge. Unfortunately, that’s something so many of us have forgotten how to do. That’s what I love about slow living. It gives us the space to tune back in.
This theme came up in a recent conversation I had with Megan Moran. She is someone who is deeply passionate about helping women lead intentional lives.
We talked about slow living, motherhood, seasonal living, and the real challenge of juggling it all when life is full.
We touched on:
How our society wants us to push ourselves towards too much
What it feels like to be stretched too thin
What happens when a go-getter Type-A just has enough of it all and shuts down
Where is the fine line between burnout and also pushing ourselves
Is there too slow in slow living?
What we do when our schedules are not fully in our control.
Why autonomy is so important.
How we are painting the narratives in our lives.
Letting go of control and setting boundaries.
What previously defined most of April’s relationships.
Being kind to ourselves.
Letting the seasonal changes affect our lives.
Releasing guilt and shame of doing all the things all at once.

It was one of those grounded, encouraging conversations that stays with you after it ends.
Whether you’re a mom, creative, entrepreneur, or just someone trying to live a bit more intentionally, I think you’ll find something here that resonates.
